I have been keeping a close on the forums.

My company applied for license in 1st week of august and have just recieved a reply today saying that they are still processing April applications. My visa is due to expire in dec. Could anyone please help on some alternatives that could help me in this situation.
Hi SimiP,

My company applied for a new license at the same time as yours. We haven't heard anything so far. Did they just contact you or is there are number or contact email we can write to, to ask about how the application is progressing?

I have enough time (I think) - till the middle of January - before my visa expires. I've got a personal commitment to attend back home end of Nov. If the visa formalities cannot be completed by then, I'm also wondering if you know whether its advisable to travel out and back (back 10th of Dec) considering I'm close to renewal? Will questions be asked by immigration when I come back in even if I carry a company letter clearly stating that they will be sponsoring me?

Kindly advise! It'll be much appreciated.

Do we need to provide a proof of salary for 3 months. If so, could you please point me to the link/document stating this.

Oh and apologies. I didn't have the answer to your question. So went straight ahead with my question for you!

Hi jibri

thanks. We applied in the first week of August. However, when does your visa run out? Mine runs out Jan 11, 2013 so we wrote to the UKBA and asked them to please treat it as a matter of urgency. They came into our offices early last week for an audit type thing and we received an email on Wednesday. Our HR is yet to receive logins to the Sponsor Mgmt system or whatever its called but I checked the list of sponsors online and we're on there as an A rated sponsor.

Now have to go through the pain of my own application. They don't cover themselves in glory, do they, the UKBA?

I think you have enough time, as I heard they were speeding things up. But if you dont hear back by mid Jan might be worth asking your company to try and push them.

When they visited, they interviewed our HR for about an hour. Basically asking about company, verifying company documents, my job role etc. Then interviewed me for about 15 minutes,... just asked a few questions. Maybe just cross referencing whether I and my employer had given the same information. Wasn't much of a problem at all.
