I’ve got my EC visa yesterday in UK Embassy in Moscow, Russia.
They took my docs 2 weeks ago and submitted them to London. 3 days ago they called me and told that I can come and stamp my EC visa.
Yesterday I arrived at 8-00. The clerk took my passport to stamp a visa, but I was asking to postdate it for 3-4 month. I been told to wait, and was waiting till 9-30. Immigration Officer invited me into meeting room and asked why I need to postdate my EC visa. I show my contract with current employer (UK company, actually) which will finish at the end of this year. Immigration Officer told me that EC visa can be postdated only for 3 month, I accepted that. Also I was told by him, that I have not fly to UK immediately, when my visa is started, but can wait other 2 months. It means I have now 5 months to come to UK, which is fine with me
Good luck to everybody!
