Finally some good news. Passport+Documents + Approval letter recieved today. BRP card delivery was attempted on Thursday, but missed, hoping to have the redelivery done on Monday.

Thanks to all for sharing your experiences on here, for postal applications I would strongly sugggest a lot of patience and if your case is straightforward it will come in due course.

Good luck to all others waiting for your ilr.

Hi people
Hope every applicants of June/July receive their package,but I really think there are so many incompetent people in UKBA at this moment. Because the thing is how this lady said the package was sent yesterday when yesterday was Sunday and UKBA is close on Sundays.
I really think everyone should complain about this "hostage" situation where we cannot travel or apply for a job because our passports is stuck with them for such a long time

Hi all
Looks like majority have applied by post. Well I have used document checking service and my passport is with me and my most of the documents ( originals) also with me. As the lady there selected few documents out of my huge pile of documents.That too taken photo copies and returned me the originals.
But now I am bit worried when all most all who received ILR says they have received their passport and documents which means they have not used that service.
Can I here from someone used this service and received ILR with out much delay.

Finally got the approval letter from border agency!!

1. Current visa: Tier 2 General
2. Date of expiry of current leave: 05-08-12
3. Application form used for ILR: SET (O)
4. Number of dependants applying at same time: 3
5. Date application posted: 27-07-2012
6. Date application received at UKBA: 03-08-2012
7. Date payment debited: ??? (company paid)
8. Payment mode : debit card
9. Acknowledgement letter received: can't remember (maybe around 10/8 )
10. Biometric letter received: 18-10-2012
11. Date of biometrics enrolment: 19-10-2012
12. Date of approval: 17-12-2012
13. Date of return of passport and other docs: 17-12-2012
14. Date BRP ILR Received: waiting (will be in 7 days)

What a relief after spending quite stressful days... Thank you all for sharing information. And especially huge thanks to sheford for your effort on summarising information. It has been very useful and helps me to understand the situation.
