Salary Requirements for Tier 2

Hi All,

My company has already applied for Sponsorship Licence. My visa runs out in Early Feb 2013.

I am working as a Human Resource Manager in my organisation. What will be my SOC code?

If my salary is £21.000 per annum, how much can be the accommodation allowance?

Please advise.

10x40x52 = £20,800, am I eligible for 20 points for salary requirements?

You would need to be earning £31258.5 / YEAR working 37.50 hours.

So if you are doing 40 hours /week then your annum salary should be £33342.4/Annum.

20k is minimum then you have to on salary specified on SOC2 Codes.

MuhdKhokhar is absolutely correct.

20k is minimum salary requirement and than you have to have minimum earning as per your SOC code.

20k salary requirement was before new rules become valid.

I am currently under Tier 1 Post Study Work Visa issued in Feb 2010 and runs out in Feb 2013. I have been working with my company for 2 and half years. I will be applying to Switch into Tier 2 (General). What is the minimum NQF level Job I need to have? NQF6 unless it is a shortage occupation when it is NQF4

Also, I work in a small organisation as and my job role is varied and the job descriptions are close to 1135 and 1152. what is the best SOC code for me? Is it 1135 (Human resources manager) or 1152 (Administration manager)? I cannot meet the salary requirements under 1135 but can meet under 1152. Please advise. Unfortunately 1152 is not NQF level 6. If it were to be 1135 you would need to persuade your employer to raise your salary.

Lastly, In case of Personal assistant SOC 4215, the rate is £8.81/hour.
8.81 x 37.5 x 52 = £17179.5. Will it still be eligible even though the salary is below the threshold of £20,000? NO, on two counts: not NQF6 and under £20k

when I had a look on SOC code it comes under Section J 2132 Software professionals and job description for job title Software Engineer (salary- £30100) below,

"With experience of real time or embedded software and
associated hardware this position would be responsible
for the design and programming of related operating
software....."

It has my role embedded software in it.

But I haven't paid that much, so shall I choose the Job title Programmer (salary £26000)under same Code 2132 instead of Software Engineer (salary- £30100) , it matches few of my job description?

What I am worried about is my job title in my company is Embedded Software engineer and exact SOC match is Software Engineer (salary- £30100), but if i choose SOC job title 2132 Programmer will it be a problem?

Given the fact that you are a 'software tester', rather than a programmer, would suggest that you would not qualify as a 'graduate programmer' - you need to pick the job that closest matches what you do. You can't pick something else just because the salary is closer to what you get paid.
