Hi Bheema,

I was told by the case worker at my appointment (on the 13th Dec) that there is a grace period of 28 days, within which you can use the old form.

But this might be on the case workers discretion, so take the new form as well, just to be safe.

Regards

Always use the latest/current form.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

If you have already filled your SET(O) *old one* go ahead however there is no harm in keeping the new SET(O) form as backup because sometimes it depends on the case worker's mood and PEO you applying.

Even if you use the older form during the allowed grace period, you will still be required to submit evidence/document that meet the needs of the latest form.

It appears that most of the applicants who applied from 13 Dec 2012 & have posted their experiences on this forum have done so using the old form. The primary reason appears to be around the additional questions asked & evidence/letters requested for different types of absences in the new form. Based on the majority of experiences posted, it appears that case workers have not requested employer letters for absences, even in cases where one is required (e.g. employer sponsored) based on the current rules. Though I certainly don't know this for a fact, it appears that there may be some level of unstipulated discretion being given. This could possibly be the reason that many have opt'ed to use the old form until it is absolutely necessary to use the new one on Jan 3rd.
