Any approvals for INDIAN applicants without Form16

I have seen many replies on this board who say applications being rejected if you submit just saral form for income tax return.

I dont have original form 16 with me

please confirm if somebody has got approval without Form 16.

Hi,

Although I didnot get the approval, but was awarded, full points in the earnings section by submitting SARAL and photocopy of Form 16.

Submitting the IT-Assessment report would help you more.

was the photo copy of form 16 signed by the employer (or) was it just a photocopy.

Hi,

It was just a photocopy.

But mind well, I had the assessment report from the IT-department also.
I also sent the refund pay-order cheque that I got from Income Tax department to proove my earnings, perhaps that was the big plus point for getting points in the earnings section.
I suggest you may get an assessment report from IT-office where you filed your return.
Even if you see the latest FAQs on the Workingintheuk website, it clearly mentions that the ITR- should not be a self assessment (i.e. SARAL without Sign/Stamp, and that is what most of us have), but should be from the concerned contry's tax authority.

what is IT Assessment report?
Is it the one where they refund if you have paid excess tax and claiming money back?
Or, is it something else that anybody who has filed tax entitled to request?

I am looking for this to strengthen my case because although I have a Form16 (duplicate signed by current employer), Form 16 by previous employer is not attested. Of course, I am not showing any earnings of my previous company for previous earnings section.

Is it okay to proceed?
What do you suggest?

The assessment report is the one that you get with the refund pay order.
If you have the same, you can send the same.
