ILR and Citizenship

Post by pkumar » Tue Dec 25, 2012 9:53 pm

If husband is already citizen and wife (having her own Tier 1) gets ILR ... now i read somewhere that wife IMMEDIATELY after getting ILR can apply for citizenship as her husband is citizen ... is this true? Any details will be helpful.

Thanks

Yes, once you have got ILR, you can apply immediately for naturalisation as spouse of BC as long as you meet the residence requirements of 3 years.
