Usman,

many many congratulations. Your evidence list is quite straight forward. I am also applying very soon, only awaiting naric comparability letter, rest all docs are ready.
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=13195

Few questions if u don't mind

* as per evidence list, u said original ITR Form R3, is it the endorsed document which Tax department give u on submitting ITR or its the original one which employer give (cause since last tax year, it is not mandatory for salaried person to submit this form to Tax department). Which document have you attached as evidence?

* how much time it took for attestation of your degree from HEC. And how much time NARIC took for sending comparability letter (i've sent my docs on 27th Jan and still under process)

* Have you submitted ur MSC degree only or Bachelors also.

* Lastly regarding age points have you get ur birth certificate translated from any specific translator or from normal notary public. I've called BC to confirm any designated notary service they can suggest but they have none.

I hope I've not bothered u and hope to get your EC cleared with no difficulties.

Cheers,
RAW

It's the receipt (duplicate) of ITR Form R3 submitted. Generally people make photocopy of this form and income tax officer signs the photocopy. I actually ask my finance manager to give me two copies with original official stamp, this makes my ITR look "original" so to speak :). I know that this document is optional and I was advised by my finance manager as well for the same, but I was preparing to apply for HSMP since last year, I explicitly submitted income tax return just for HSMP purposes.

If you live in Islamabad, then HEC will take approx. 2 hours, you submit it by 9'o clock in morning, it will be returned to you after 2 to 4 hours. (or by noon). Same is the case with Ministry of Foreign affairs that counter checks the HEC verification for all immigration purposes.

NARIC took around 15-20 days to arrive. I faxed them my docs, so it was bit expedited for me.
RAW wrote: * Have you submitted ur MSC degree only or Bachelors also.
Only M.Sc degree. HSMP requires to submit the highest degree that is claimed by applicant. I even did not submitted my transcripts.

I translated the text myself using Google Arabic to English translation. Took the printout to one of the registered translators (there are several in F8 markaz, Islamabad, you can find them in Aabpara market Islamabad as well), they make the photocopy on their letterhead (their original translation by these so called "registered translators" sucks big time), they put their stamp on it: Certified true translation, then I notarized this document.

I am planning to apply for EC after two months, as I have a business trip to US, and then to UK, which will take around two months. I will update my experience related to EC then :). EC generally takes 12 working days based on my recent experience with British Embassy Islamabad.

rbg,

In your previous posts, you mentioned that decision was already made?
now you are saying that your application has not yet been assigned to caseworker. please clarify about this.

Ram

All,

My legal rep just called me 2mins ago and its an APPROVAL for me.

Thanks to everybody in this forum. Funny_009 have u received urs yet? I'll post my processing time later cos just going to the west end to meet my solicitor now.

This is my 3rd attempt for HSMP (twice rejected under old rule and finally approved under new rule). So all those who have been refused, please do know that there is still HOPE and do PRAY.
