sponcering parents for pregnancy

Post by nehalbhagat » Sat Dec 29, 2012 12:52 pm

Hello friends,

My wife would like to invite her parents to support her during her final months of pregnancy. She works full time in UK and her annual salary is 16K excluding overtime.,her own saving in ISA account is 10K. Can she sponcer her parents on basis of her salary and savings ?

We are sending her
1. last 3 months payslips- original
2. last 3 months bank statement- original
3. Saving ISA statement- stamp/signed
4. maternity certificate - MATB1 from hospital
5. last year p60 showing her income (19K for 2011-2012)
6. council tax and latest utility bill as address proof
7. her passport copies which shows her ILR stamp.

is this sufficient to support her parents family visa application ?

Please kindly advise.

Thanks

Are you applying for a visiting visa for her parents?

your documents look good. you also need to submit a sponsorship cover letter in support to the application. I would not include the maternity certificate as it's not required.

also your parents need to include additional evidence to confirm their ties with their home country. these could be combination of property / employment / finance related documents.

PS: Mods should move this to General UK Immigration Section

for non immigrant visitor visas, there is no salary requirement. unless the sponsor is paying for the visit and/or bearing the cost in the UK, there is also no requirement to provide any earning or financial statements. the applicant can use his/her money to support him/herself during the visit.
