Can anyone help? - Tier 2 General Visa

Post by aka.arj » Fri Dec 21, 2012 9:49 am

Hi all

I have been tracking my application as per the in-country processing time thread but I have not recieved my documents or approval letter from the UKBA though I have submitted biometrics before some people on that thread. Could anyone confirm why there may be a delay? I am a bit worried as I want to leave the country for Christmas but cannot do so till I receive my documents back. Another thing that worries me is that is there something wrong with my application as everyone on that thread has a very similar timeline.

Documents supplied -
pay slips
Passports (old leave is in old passport hence submitted both)
photos
maintenance covered by employer
cover letter
Original Masters degree certificate
online application

timeline for my Tier 2 General Application -

1. Type of application: Tier 2 Switching
2. If switching, category changing
(switching) from - PSW
3. Date of expiry of current leave: 8th December 2012
4. Number of dependants applying at same time: 0
5. Date application posted: 02/11/2012
(online)
6. Date application received at UKBA: 02/11/2012
7. Date payment debited: 02/11/2012. Payment mode: Debit card
9. Acknowledgement letter received: No
10. Biometric letter received:
23/11/2012 (dated 15/11/2012
11. Date of biometrics enrolment: 23/11/2012 (Post Office - Camden)
12. Date of approval: ?
13. Date of return of passport and other
documents: ?
14. Date (new) leave to remain valid: ?

any help would be much appreciated

Hi there,

There's nothing I can help but I want to let you know that my timeframe and situation are very similar to yours except that I'm switching from tier 4 to tier 2 and my current expiry date is 30 Jan. I totally understand your feeling but I think the only thing we can do is to wait.

Ming

Not yet. Do you know what could be causing this delay?
