SWITCHING FROM WP TO FLR(HSMP) after initial Approval

Post by foobar » Sat Feb 03, 2007 5:10 pm

I am in UK on work permit visa since Dec 2003, HSMP approved in Jan 2007, planning to submit the documents for FLR by 9th Feb.

Requesting the members of this forum who got there initial HSMP approval & are planning/applied for FLR(HMSP), the documents that are required to support application.

As per the FLR(HSMP) guidelines will be attaching following docs...
Covering letter
HSMP approval letter
2 recent photographs
Current Passport
6 months certified salary slips
6 months bank statements

Apart from the above list do we need to attach the
1] docs sent for Initial HSMP approval?
2] Proof of Accomodation in UK (Rental Agreement etc...)
3] previous/current work permit
4] any other documents which will help

Any inputs will be highly appreciated...

foobar ..

you are absolutely right ...
along with your documents mentioned you will also need to attach
1] docs sent for Initial HSMP approval
2] Proof of Accomodation in UK (Rental Agreement etc...)
3] bank statements showing good balance , need not be your salaried account only ...if you have more than one account with very good balance then show all those accounts as well .... it helps ....

Hello,

As per my understaning, I dont think we need to submit:
1. Original documents submitted along with HSMP Application.
2. HSMP Approval letter
3. Work Permit Copy.
4. Rent/Lease agreement.

I may also be wrong...but after going through the guidence notes...I feel the above.....

It would be better if some one who has got FLR Cleared recently can share the experiences....

Thanks

No Nakvis,
You don't have to submit all this , as per HSMP FLR guidelines

You need to submit

1. Full Form HSMP FLR
2. HSMP Approval Letter
3. Passport
4. Two photographs
5. 3 months bank statements or Salary slips (If employed) if not employed prrof of funds that you can support yourself

I am going to post FLR (HSMP) today with above docs only

Hi Atul,

Many Thanks for confirmation.

Yes, as per the guidelines you are correct. Also there is no mention of HSMP Approval letter in the list of documents checklist. I believe these guys have access to our approval letters based on the reference number.

But I also feel that it is better to send HSMP Approval letter along with the application.

Wish you good luck.

Thanks

Hi,

I am in UK since last 4 months. I got my HSMP Approval last week. I am planning to submit my FLR application next week.

I am getting around 1800 GBP per month NET salary in UK. I pay around 700 GBP for my accommadation in UK. Does HO feel that this income is suffecient for me to survive (Myself, wife & 2 kids)???

Infact my Annual salary is 34K. But Some of the amount is debited towards Indian Salary which is also shown in payslips. If we include that it will be around 2200 GBP per month after tax.

Please advise.

Thanks

Hi,

Has anyone selected the option: House is OWNED or Rented by a relative or Friend in FLR HSMP Application?

I need this info as the house is rented by my friend and would like to know if anyone submitted the application with this option and got approved.

Does anyone know which form to use for the purposes of urgent treatment request for the FLR (HSMP) application?

Workingintheuk.gov.uk website only has urgent treatment forms for the HSMP (Stage 1) application, and for the FLR (IED) applications.

Any help would be appreciated.

I sent FLR (HSMP) application on 5 Feb. Still no acknowledgement from them.

Thanks

Hello Foobar/ everyone

I too am on a work permit and am thinking of switching to HSMP.

My wife is here as a work permit dependant and I'm wondering how it would affect her visa if change to HSMP

Appreciate your inputs on this. .. Also can you tell me if you applied directly or via a HSMP consultant

Thanks

if your wife is 'WP dependent' once you qualify for HSMP and apply for FLR, your dependent becomes 'HSMP dependent'. So there are no complications involved in the switching of your dependent.

I guess webhunter is right...

While applying for FLR(HSMP) include all the dependants in the application (if the dependants are staying in UK) otherwise you need to get their EC done from ur home country...

I am on WP which expires in Dec 2011. I'm awaiting my HSMP approval.
Once I get approval , is it possible to transfer my current FLR to HSMP status.

Or else do I need to apply fresh FLR ( against approved HSMP ) , and I guess that would be for 2 years. Pls advise

Once HSMP is approved, you will need to apply for FLR(HSMP) within 6 months, the HSMP visa is granted for 2 years....so...in your case it will be till 2009....

Once you apply for a FLR based on your Initial HSMP approval , automatically your Work permit will be terminated and you will be moved into HSMP ......

Your work permit visa will be null and void after you get HSMP Visa (FLR-HSMP).

Your new visa will be for 2 years, even though you had 3 years left on WP Visa. You will have to apply for extension again after 2 years FLR-HSMP.

Please share you all your timelines so that someone can tell you how to utilise maximum on WP Visa and FLR-HSMP.

Thanks Foobar for your comments.

For my case, don't require payslips as I am on deputation here and don't get Payslips here.
