Time out of uK while on HSMP

Post by ashishashah » Wed Feb 14, 2007 3:00 pm

Hello,

I am awar that this topic has been discussed before..SO my apologies if this is a repost..But i tried searching the forum , couldnt get an answer, hence this post..

My Situation is
Got EC in Nov 06 , Came to UK in JAn 07(already wasted 2 months)

I might have to travel to France for 2 months in near future..My q. is
1)For extension of HSMP(FLR), will this 4 months will count towards out of country period??I had a look at FLR form ,but it doesnt mention any thing about 'OUt of Country' stay..
2)BIGGER q. is during ILR , will this 2 months count against me..

OK, as far as i know, you cannot live out side UK for more then 6 months in 5 years, leading to ILR, and never 3 months at a stretch...

So i will make sure that i am not of Country for 3 months at a stretch, but what abouty "Total " 6 months??

Can some one please state the rules for a)FLR b)ILR

Thanks
Ashish

it will not affect flrhsmp
it will affect ilr
6months is max you can stay out of country

But if your job requires you to go out of country i think it is acceptable

This has been covered so many times before...

ILR countdown start from the day you enter the UK the first time and not from the day of the EC stamp
