Hello guys.

Good news today. Came home to find a big envelope from the Home Office and all my documents returned.

They originally sent it to the BIG SCAMMERS CROOK FIRM - UK Visa & Immigration. Thank God it all found it's way to me eventually after being returned several times as not delivered. It took from the 20th November to find its way to me and about 5 weeks after the visa date.

Passport stamped with 30 Month Residents Permit
I wasn't expecting that after an 11 month wait.

No idea if I will receive a biometric card as was not sent with documents and nothing about it in the H.O. letter received.

Good luck to all waiting, patience will pay off in the end.

Here is my time line

Date Documents returned 05/12/2012
Date Applied/Docs sent: 27/01/12
Date Received Ack. Letter: 31/01/12
Date Biometrics booking letter arrived: 24/03/2012
Date Biometrics Done at PO : 26/03/2012
Date Passport/Docs received from HO: Waiting
Date Biometrics received : Waiting
Visa Type : FLR(0)
Can you tell us at least your story please ?

FLRO

Post by G4B3R » Fri Dec 14, 2012 6:39 pm

I am applying for my wife's FLR(O) as she has a valid 180 FAMILY VISIT VISA. She only stayed in UK 3 months. her Visa expires on 25th January 2013.
When is the required time to apply for the FLR(O) before the visa ends?
She is also pregnant and thats the reason she cannot travel due to medical, as she is due in February 2013 is this valid?
Also how long does it take?
AND ADVISE PLEASE AS I AM WORRIED...........

Thanks

DLR Waiting times

Post by pimpaporn » Tue Jan 08, 2013 1:42 pm

Applicationfor DLR on article 8 British Husband and British Child.

Application sent 17/4/12
Acknowledgement 20/4/12
Payment taken 25/4/12
Bio letter 10/05/12
Bio done 18/05/12
Application result Waiting
Id Card Waiting

Almost 9 months now and UKBA Gave no indication of when will be processed.
Sent letter of complaint which also took longer than specified time of 20 working days in which to reply. Letter stated all applications are being dealt with in date received order which is of no use, why cant they tell us what months applications they are currently working on.

Had to cancel flights to Thailand for Christmas and New Year, but are hoping will be able to go for song kran but even that is now looking unlikely.

My wife applied in December 2011. Received a letter last week asking for further documentation since the application. So hopefully they have now at least taken a look at the application and fingers crossed it won't take much longer.

If you are applying for DLR, don't make any plans like booking flights etc,
as it looks like most applications are taking over 12 months.

best of luck people

It's not that they needed more proof I don't think. They just wanted more up to date information from when after my wife applied, because it was so long ago. So up to date information about finances and that we are still living together, so the same stuff as before just more recent.
We are hoping that as they have asked for these recent documents then it means they have now at least taken a look at my wife's application and a decision won't be too far off.

The reason she applied for DLR was she didn't pass her KOL test for ILR and it was too late for her to take an English language test for FLR so this was the only option left. As she is of course married to me (British) and we have a British born child we are hoping things will turn out fine.

If you are applying DLR extension on Articla 8 family life (FLR O) you do not need English language test
