Earnings (ILR from Tier 1 General) - Net or Gross?

Post by ughosal » Thu Jan 10, 2013 1:36 pm

Hi,

Please someone guide me whether the earnings for Tier 1 Points Scoring Assessment are to be based on the Gross income or the Net. I could not find this info anywhere on the form or rules.

Thanks. Ujjal

Thanks rshelar. But where exactly in the note does it state whether it's gross or net income that is used for the scoring?

Regards.

Have you read: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... /earnings/

Assessment of previous earnings
We assess your gross salary before tax. This also applies if you are self-employed and draw a salary from your business.

If you earned the money in a country with no tax system, we will consider your total earnings for the period. If you are self-employed, your earnings are assessed on the profits of your business before tax. If you have a share of a business, your earnings are assessed on your share of the business's net profits before tax.
