COS allocation

Post by ImI.sh » Mon Dec 31, 2012 12:46 pm

Hi,
My company got tier2 sponsorship after a long wait of 18 weeks and 1 unrestricted COS was allocated.
My HR manager didn't informed me and allocated that COS to me on 10th of December.

Unfortunately I was not ready with my Bank statement yet.

I put the required money on 18th of December into my account so i can have the 90 day requirement fulfilled.

But i am still confused to what my HR manager said.

1. She has applied for the allocation on the Management system and according to her it will take few days to be allocated. Although, my understanding is that as soon as you allocate a COS to an employee you get the COS number in mere half an hour and the clock starts ticking for the 3 month time limit you have to apply for the visa.

2. In case if she is true than i am safe otherwise the COS will expire before my bank statement is ready.

3 we have not received any COS number yet i.e. dated 21st December

Can someone help me on this?

Thanks,

Anamik

THought I would add in my timeline too
Company applied for their license August 1st 2012
In December we were told it was assigned to a case worker
Have had no furhter contact than this and no license yet. we have not asked for urgent treatment yet as I am not on the right visa to ask for this.

Thinking the approval could come any day...?

Each time they have picked on insignificant issues such as the name of the person signing off one of the declarations, the audited accounts documentation not being initialed on every page by out auditor (all 92 pages).

Thanks jibri,

As per my knowledge my company didn't ask for urgent treatment even I had pushed them to do so.

Do you enquired UKBA as why they are taking so much time??

Some experienced (admin) users may help you in this regard

Thanks

Hi everyone,

My status is as follows:

I am currently on Tier 1 General visa and my visa will be expired on 05/05/2013. My company would like me to keep working for them. My current salary is 25K and they would keep me under the 'Programmer' job, the minimum salary requirement for Programmer is £26K. My salary review will be conducted in April and my salary will be increased to £26K+. My company doesn't have Sponsorship license and they will apply for it in a couple of days. I have following questions:

1) I'll be transferring from Tier 1 General to Tier 2 General so does my company need to advertise this job, if yes then how long the job needs to be advertised?
2) Will I qualify under Unrestricted COS since I am already in UK under Tier 1 and will be transferring to Tier 2?
3) If my company's application for license is pending when my visa expiry date arrives, will I have to go out of the country and apply from my home country once the company has received its license?
4) Will my company need to mention 0 Restricted COS during their application if I qualify under Unrestricted COS?
5) If my company has to advertise the job, then can they advertise the job even if their sponsorship application is pending?

Could you please answer above questions and if you could also inform me of any other related issues as per above scenario that you may be aware of?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Sponsorship Licence

Post by tcray89 » Fri Jan 25, 2013 12:37 pm

Hey guys,

Im a newbie here, from Australia, on a tier 5 YM visa, my visa ends July 8th, and my company has agreed to keep me on and sponsor me - how do i go about getting them to put in a Sponshorship Licence?

Is it better to do it through and agent? Anyone know any agents that did it for their company that was effecient?

Or is it easier to do it on the UKBA website?

URGENT Help please

Post by JS28 » Thu Jan 31, 2013 1:42 am

Hi All,

I will be applying for a Tier 2 general visa by next week as my current visa is expiring on the 16th of March 2013. I am just waiting for a decision to be made on my contract at work then by next week I will be applying for the tier 2 visa. I was wondering if 4 weeks is enough for the application as I do not want to be counted as an overstayer because I am working towards the long term residency visa.

1.) Can anyone please advise what to do? shall I stick to the post application or apply on person?

2.) We have just got the licence so how do we apply for UCOS?

Thank you
