Visit by Home Office to the company regarding WP

The Home Office has sent a letter to the employer (who has applied my WP) stating that...there isn't enough description about the Job on the application made.
So they planned to visit the company and ask more about the issue.
Has anyone faced this type of problems b4?
If so…what they normally do on their visit?

How long will it take them to visit the company after the letter is received?
How will it affect the result of the application?

Usually they arrange a mutually convenient time to visit your employer. They will check the premises to see if the company has seating spaces and hardware for all its employees. They will also check the insurance documents and whether a valid business case exists for employing people.

If they are not satisfied, your application will be refused. In extreme cases I have seen them cancelling all Work Permits currently held by the company. Very dicey situation.

The process of verification by the HO is called surveillance monitoring.

The HO needs to check whether or not the WPs processed by them are not being abused. This process check can be found in the HO's employers guide for applying business and commercial guidelines in the working in the Uk website.
