edit 1:
original subject: Switching from PSW to Tier 2, can bank statment be exempted?

Hi All,

PwC is my company's HR adviser and handles all immigration.
One of their consultants told me that if my company is sponsoring me there is no need to produce bank statements by myself (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... ce-changes)

Please provide reference where in the Tier 2 policy is this mentioned.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks

"If your A-rated sponsor is certifying that it will maintain and accommodate you if necessary for your first month of employment, this must be confirmed on your certificate of sponsorship"

"Appendix C, 4. (c) the Sponsor is an a rated Sponsor and has certified on the Certificate of Sponsorship that, should it become necessary, it will maintain and accommodate the migrant up to the end of the first month of his employment. The Sponsor may limit the amount of the undertaking but any limit must be at least £900. Points will only be awarded if the applicant provides a valid Certificate of Sponsorship reference number with his application."

If they are a Tier 2 A rated sponsor then they can inform UKBA that they will cover your maintenance.

See below: Its on page 56 of the application form.

M5. Is your sponsor certifying Maintenance for you on your Certificate of Sponsorship?
Your sponsor is certifying maintenance for
you if they have stated on the Certificate
of Sponsorship that they will maintain and accommodate you up to the end of your first month of employment in the UK. Your sponsor may limit the amount it is prepared to fund but the amount must be at least £800.
Please contact your sponsor if you are unsure whether they are certifying maintenance for you.
