Professional sportsperson and volunteering

My Tier 1 visa prohibits work as a professional sportsperson. I'd like to work as an unpaid volunteer at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014. They require proof of work authorisation. Will I be in violation of my conditions if I work for them? Clearly not as an athlete or coach.
