ILR for Dependents

Post by georgy1 » Thu Jan 10, 2013 6:31 pm

Hi ,
I need some advice on ILR Dependent .
I am on UK Tier 1 Dependent Visa from July 2012 and my husband would apply for ILR next year .As per the new rule I am suppose to complete 2 years in UK else he cannot add me as an dependent within his form.Am I correct on this?

If yes then I would have to apply for FLR(M)?But when should I apply for this after he gets ILR or along with his ILR application?

Then Do I after completing 2 years apply again for ILR?

During this period what is this Visa Status ?With this FLR(M) will I have same rules as Tier 1 Dependent?

I have read the link given I have few queries on that .
Can anyone clarify,

Since my husband would be applying for ILR in January 2014 and My qualifying period would be complete on August 2014 .

At present I have a Tier 1 Dependent Visa valid till 2015 in this situation

Do I need to apply for FLR(M) form?

You (the wife) do not need to change your visa type or apply for anything yet. You can apply for ILR as and when you become eligible, but definitely before your current visa expires in 2015.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

thanks ..
So I will have to apply for ILR dependent (on my husband ILR) once I complete 2 years qualifying period (aug 2014) till then my Tier 1 Dependent (may 2015)Visa stays valid even if he switches to ILR (in Jan 2014).

There's no such thing as ILR dependent. You can apply for ILR once you complete two years.

ILR Dependent

Post by georgy1 » Mon Jan 28, 2013 9:37 am

Thanks for clarification.

I have 2 more queries regarding,
1.On the website they have mentioned that applications made after 9th july 2012 will have new rules i.e. 5 years together.

I had applied before 9th july 2012 in India through VFS but I do not have any document which states my application date.
On my passport they have stamped Visa Valid from 12th july 2012.
So is there any where I can see my application date?

2.My husband's is self employed and he gives himself from his company both salary and dividends. So for previous earnings
I wanted to know whether dividends should be calculated as Net or Gross amount?

Are their any other dates stamped on your passport (towards the back few pages)?
