Post by amul » Wed Jan 16, 2013 9:27 am

Hi Friends,

My application was applied by my employer that it can make to home office meeting on 11th Jan 2013 but my employer has not heard back from home office. Today is 16th Jan 2013 and employer has not heard back on the COS approval/rejection decision from home office. How much time does home office takes to decide the decision

Please guide

We were told that you will hear back anytime between the 11th and the 18th of the month. We applied in December and the COS was rejected on the 18th of that month (UKBA said that they were unsatisfied with the information provided to them by the company). This was then contested by the company's lawyers (who had submitted all of the requested documentation) and we're still waiting to hear back.
Hopefully, you will hear something by the 18th. I am not sure how long it is going to take for us as we are awaiting a review...

Hi

If you don't mind can you please mention what documents you have submitted?

Do you know the reason for rejection of COS?

Which solicitors did you use?
I appreciate your help.

Regards

Grampian.

Hi
I'm afraid I don't really have much more information. The COS is being applied for on my husband's behalf by the company's lawyers (I'm not sure who they are but they are apparently a firm specialising in UK immigration law). The COS was initially rejected because UKBA "was not satisfied with the documentation submitted"...I'm not exactly sure what was submitted other than the form that my husband filled out with his name, current address, mother and father's name, passport photocopy, foreign travel history...The rest was documentation submitted by the company (I'm guessing job description, salary, labour market test info). I'm not sure why the UKBA was unsatisfied but like I said, the lawyers insisted that this was a UKBA error and not due to an issue with the documentation, missing documentation, etc. The UKBA agreed to review everything but we have no idea how long this takes. I assumed that obtaining a COS was a fairly swift, even automatic thing so long as you qualified for the role... Guess i was wrong!
