Tier-2(ICT) to Tier-2(General) change

Hi

I need some info and will be great if can be assisted with below:

I have been in UK since 17th Jan 2010 on Tier-2(ICT).
Is it possible for me to convert it to Tier-2(General)?
If possible, what are the different options available?
And if I do so, whether my ILR will be impacted?

your are eligible to switch to T2G and your eventual ILR application will not be affected by the switch.

In order to switch you must first be assigend a CoS by a new sponsor, then apply for leave to remain and only once that is approved should you resign.

on the same question and your response, If i gets visa and then put papers, will i able to still work with my existing companry. For example if the visa expires on 16/03 and if i get my T2 General visa on 16/02 with start date as 17/03 - Will i be able to work with my current T2 ICT visa until 16/03?
