URGENT QUERY----ENTRY IN UK

Post by sudhirg » Wed Feb 21, 2007 5:48 pm

Is there a 6 month period before which one has to enter UK once(to get the entry stamp in passport)

and if failure to do so will nullify the HSMP visa.

And how is this 6 month period calculated?

FROM

1)HSMP approval date

2)EC date on passport

If any one can shed light on this, it will be great.

Regards,
Sudhir

6 months is the period to get EC\FLR done. 6 months start from the date HSMP approval letter.

Now you have to apply for EC within 6 months, from the date of HSMP approval.

You can enter UK anytime before you visa expires. Logically it would be 12 months before you apply for extension of HSMP.

thanks, it helps a lot.
Earlier I was under the impression that

from the EC date on passport a six month counter starts and we have to enter UK before that.

I understand that 12 months before expiry of visa one has to enter so as to make some earnings to again qualify for FLR-HSMP.

Any more views on this are welcome.

Regards,
Sudhir.
