Tier1 extension - Employer Letter

Dear Experts,

Regarding employment letter.

I have calculated and my actual yearly gross pay in last 12 months was 36561. Whereas my contract says 34785. Reason for increase in pay (as in payslips) is Bonus and prize money.

So if I go to my employer ask for employment letter, they will write my current pay is 34785, and therefore I will get less points in PB calculator.

Even if they write my pay is 34785, the letter will have my last 12 months pay, which won't match 34785.

Please can you suggest what should I do in this situation.

I am thinking to mention in the letter that my current pay is 34785+Bonus. And claim points for 36561 Will that be okay?

Why don't you just use your payslips without using an employer letter to confirm your previous earnings? Along with the corresponding bank statements as the second source of evidence.

If you read the guidance carefully, you will notice that an employer letter is just one form of evidence you can use. If you have payslips for the period in question, then you do not require an Employer letter as well.

You require evidence of previous earnings from two independent sources. E.g. payslips from your employer and bank statements from your bank where the pay is credited to.
