Newborn Baby in UK

Post by silverliner » Sat Jan 26, 2013 6:56 pm

Hello there, my tier 1 (general) extension is going to expire end of this year (2013). I just have my baby born in UK on Oct last year (2012). Currently, I am working in UK and my baby is staying with me too.

Someone said that you can apply for ILR without including newborn baby. Is it true?

Yes it is true, but only think of doing that if following the grant of your ILR, you intend to Register your baby as British using form MN!

Thanks for your swift reply, John.

Do you mean I do not need to apply any visa for my baby now till we are granted ILR at the end of year, if we do not intend to travel out of UK?
