WP+Tier1 Documents required for ILR - SET(O) application

Post by cooldepps » Tue Nov 16, 2010 9:37 pm

Hi All,

After monitoring this forum for sometime now the time has come for me and my wife to apply for ILR - SET(O) application under WP+Tier1 criteria. We both have passed our Life in UK Tests and have taken the appointment at Croydon PEO which is up in 2 weeks time and would like expert inputs on the list of documents I plan to carry.

First of all little bit of my background (I had already posted this before in this forum, but posting again):

Entered UK 26th November 2005 (WP through Indian IT Company).
Extended WP 2 times (2006 and 2007 November on time).
Got Tier 1-General in June 2008. Switched Company in July 2008. Switched again in June 2010.

Gap in last 5 years:
1. Jan-Feb 2007 (21 days) - Annual Leave
2. Aug 2008 (4 days) - Leisure Trip to Paris
3. Jan-Feb 2009 (22 days) - Leisure Trip to India
4. Dec 2009 (7 days) - Leisure Trip to India

My wife joined me on WP Dependent Visa in March 2006. Later switched to Tier 1 General Dependent in June 2008.

She has been out of UK for:
1. Jan-Feb 2007 (21 days) - Annual Leave
2. Aug 2008 (4 days) - Leisure Trip to Paris
3. Jan-May 2009 (103 days) - Leisure Trip to India
4. Nov-Dec 2009 (25 days) - Leisure Trip to India

Now here is the list of documents I am planning to take with me:

1. Five years P60s for the years 2005-6, 2006-7, 2007-8, 2008-9, 2009-10.
2. Bank statements for 1 year.
3. Payslips since April 2007 till date. (My current employer's and previous employer's payslips are official while my first employer's payslips are signed and stamped).
4. Letter from my current employer about the continued requirement.
5. Set (O) latest form.
6. 2 Photographs each of self and wife.
7. Passports of self and wife.
8. Original copy of Work Permit and Extensions (2 extensions).
9. Marriage certificate
10. Life in UK Test certificate for self and wife.

I am not carrying any employment history document or SAR file. I haven't got any letters from my previous employers too. Would I require these? Do I need to carry anything else like utility bills, council tax letter etc?

Please can the experts have a look at the document list and let me know if I am missing something obvious?

Thanks & Regards,
Cooldepps.

for your own peace of mind u can carry additional docs (council tax/utility bills) but its not mandatory.

i was in ur situation last month and didnt submit these additional docs but did take with me to PEO.

with regards to ur previous employer if you have something take it even if it is one or two payslips. do u have P45s when u changed jobs? do P60s show name of ur employer if so then that would be sufficient..

Thanks xyz123. That was really helpful.
Yes I have official payslips, all from previous employer and around 12 months from my first employer.
I also have both the P45s when I switched jobs and all the P60s show name of my employers.

Urgent help please

Post by mahesh150 » Wed Mar 07, 2012 1:38 pm

Hi to all members of this forum...

I need some urgent help. I and going to apply for ILR but I only have the P60 for the year 2010-2011 I don't have the P60 for the last 3 years. I spoke to my employer and they said they can't issue P60's again. I then spoke to HMRC and they said they can only send a letter confirming my employment history and the tax i paid and can't issue P60's as it is only issued by the employer. I am missing the payslips for 5 months in the last 3 years. Can I submit just the HMRC letter which I am going to get on I have to submit P60's. I appreciate you comments on this please.

DO we need to give the marriage certificate again even though the Home office has seen it and that is why they granted the intiial visa and then extended the stay?

Hi, we have to show it again, better to go along with marriage certificate instead of discussing all these, always better not to argue for simple things as we already had, people are doing the same,
