Please read the guidance notes that comes with the application form. It has crystal clear details as to how you can claim 5 points for UK experience ( either job or studies ).

Well, no final decision has been made yet. I dont except to get a response for alteast another 7 to 10 days.

:-) As you are aware, One should not worry for atleast 4 weeks since the date they have posted the application.

Not exactly Feb applicant, but almost.

In-country

Reference 206xxx

HO received docs on 29 Jan
Approval received on 24 Feb (letter dated 22 Feb)

Claimed 100 points

On average it seems straight forward cases take about 3-4 weeks.

Thanks.

Hi

Hi,

I think for Initial HSMP...the most of the time is taken only for CaseWorker allotment. Once the application is allocated to a caseworker...maximum they are taking is 1 or 2 days...thats all....in most of the cases.

Regards

There you go guys.. Based on the above post, based on the current time lines, it has taken around 26 - 28 days for an incountry applicant to receive his approval.

Those who are desparately waiting, can now set their expectations right.

hello HSMP_2007,

you can expect reference number in a week(maximum). currently, processing time is more than 25 days. so it is better not to consult them for 3-4 weeks. In future, if u wanna know status u can email them at HSMP.Workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk. you will get the response same day.

regards

Hi minny,

I had a chance to look into my reference number today as my leave to remain expires tomorrow.

Even it has 10 digits on it (just like yours), so I believe 10 digits are for FLR where as the 6 digits are for (initial approvals).

The reference letter is dated exactly one week after I made the application.

I have just seen a post from 'December Applicants' thread. Here's the post.

Please note that this is not my post.
Application sent : 24/01/2007
Application recieved by HO : 25/01/2007
Payment made : 25/01/2007
Reference number recieved via email : 26/01/2007 (206xxx) between 050 - 100
Got approval letter - 23/02/2007
What this re-inforces is, do not expect anything for atleast exactly 1 month based on the current time lines.
