NEW LIFE IN THE UK TEST

Post by Kevin24 » Sun Jan 27, 2013 7:24 pm

Just read from a Sunday News paper mentioning about the New Life in the UK Test. Questions will be on BRITISH-culture,history,traditions and about people who helped to shape the country. The NEW HAND BOOK will be on sale from this week.

Will it affect the people who have already completed this test but ILR scheduled in future?

No it will not affect people who have passed the earlier version of the Test. New sample Questions seems very different to the ones I have passed.

You are right. I think the NEW TEST will kick in after a grace period. I am not sure about this period. Good if you can LOGI NTO UKBA SITE AND SEE.

LOOKS LIKE,A LOT OF READING HAS TO BE DONE FOR THIS NEW TEST,UNLIKE THE EARLIER ONE.

Keep your PASS CERTIFICATE carefully. NO duplicate will be issued. If lost you need to sit for the LITUK TEST again.

No it doesn't affect the takers of the old test. If you register now for the test and if your test date is after 25th march only then you can take the new test.

So there is still time for many others who want to benefits from the old test as you have 8 weeks before the new test is implemented!
Thanks!

NEW LIFE IN THE UK TEST

Post by onabanjo » Tue Jan 29, 2013 2:47 pm

Please note that passing the LIFE IN UK TEST does not have expiry date.

The information regarding this new version is not really new to some of us because the speculation regarding the new version has been on since early 2012.

Am aware of few of my friends who got their ILR recently and late last year whose LIFE IN UK TESTs were done a year l prior to being granted ILR.

Consequently, if you are applying in June even December 2013 or 2014 ,there is no rule/rules against it if you intend sitting for the TEST before the new version commences

yes. IF you sit foir the OLD TEST before 25th MARCH. WHY NOT REGISTER AND SIT FOR THE TEST soon. It is not difficult I studied for only 2 weeks.
