ILR approval evidence

Post by aaeran » Mon Jan 28, 2013 11:32 pm

Hi,

I am applying for ILR on 30th Jan and need to apply for Schengen Visa on 1st Feb.

I know that UKBA are now issuing biometric permits. How long does it take for it to arrive?

Do they issue any letter or other evidence that I can use to apply for Schengen visa while waiting for biometric permit (if it is not issued same day).

Regards.

will you not be provided with any confirmation letter after your ILR app is processed? I assume you can use that on 1st feb.
I have my ILR since march 2013, previously based on HSMP+Tier1 ext. All views are my own, am not a professional on immigration matters.

ILR approval comes with 3 documents
1. A named/addressed letter - but doesn't mention anything about ILR.
2. A generic letter - stating that your ILR was approved
3. BRP Card

1 and 2 are given to you at PEO if approved there. 3 is posted to you and should arrive within next 7-10 days.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
