Pls help me

Can somebody help me . I have got ILR . Now I send the Application for the first British passport . But they refused me and asked me for the previous travel document like my passport . But I got ILR through refugee so I dun have anything . What should I have to told them.and what I need to send them.

Are you British? Only British citizens can apply for a British passport. Having ILR does not make you British.

For prevent ID theft, IPS normally ask for your current passport.

Did you explain on the application (in section 8 - "extra information") you don't have such a document?

I suggest you call IPS and ask for their advice. Their customer service is very good.
