Change of name after marriage

Change of name after marriage

Hi,

I changed my name after marriage.My passport is reflecting my new surname but my academic certificates still show my maiden name. Do I have to provide an affidavit to support change of name?
Is there any other documentation that I have to provide to support the change of name?

I think marriage certificate would do.

Hi,

Provide all available docs regarding change of name after marriage, atleast to be on a safer side as u've nothin to lose.

Marriage cert shud be ok, but dont take any risk, provide affidavit

I had similar case with my wife during FLR stamping. She had first , middle and last name changed after marriage.

I had submitted marrige certificate having her maiden name and new name. This certificate was issued by court.

Also the passport had amendment showing new name after marriage.

I had submitted mortgage paper showing my wife's new name.

We had not submitted any affidavit.
