When is the earliest to apply for dependent visa

Dear All,

I posted this question in another thread but did not get an answer for it from anyone.
can anyone tell me when is the earliest i can apply for dependent visa from my Expected travel date. I wish to apply for visa for my Child to travel in July 2013 as my husband has secured accommodation for us only then. My question is when is the earliset i can apply for visa.

3 months before your expected date of travel.
