Travel to Europe with Civil Partnership

Post by erasmus » Tue Feb 27, 2007 10:58 pm

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone know or has the experiences about travelling to Schengen countries with EEA partner with Civil Partnership?

I am a Non-EEA national and will soon get a civil partnership with my French partner. I know UK has a Family Permit valid for civil partners free of charge. Is there any similar schemes for travelling to Schengen or otheer EU countries?

Thanks so much,

Erik

Most important may be that you have been together (with evidence) for a year or two, as you will have just entered into the civil partnership.

In which country will you get a civil partnership?

The following thread on partners and visa fees may be of some interest. http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=13091
