What does the letter mean?

Post by sergeym » Tue Aug 24, 2004 12:10 pm

I've received a letter from the HO today with all my original documents attached, saying: "A decision will be made on the application shortly and you will be informed of the decision by post. Any passports submitted to our office will be returned with the decision letters". I phoned them after that I they told me the decision has been made and the decision letter was sent to ind (not to me!). Could anyone tell me what it all means, please?
Thank you.

This is normal. You will be getting your documents within 3-4 days after the decision is been made.

Wait for another 4 days or a week. It will be on its way.

Good Luck.

Who notifies about the decision IND or HSMP team?

If the negative decision has been made, do they still send passport to the IND?

Thanks.
Sergey.

On the 25th of March. However, I asked for urgent treatment and sent additional documents twice.

NO

It means you got HSMP and your passport is with IND for HSMP stamp. It may take 3-4 weeks.

Thank you all!
Do you know if it's possible to hurry up IND? Is it easy done? I've got travel arrangements.
Thanks

If you have a valid reason, you should fax homeoffice (IND) team explaining why you want them to treat your application as a priority.

(I read somewhere in this board) In both cases the passport is send to IND, if positive visa is stamped and if negative rejection will be written in the passport.
