Enjoy the added flexibility your RC gives.

The fee is to transfer a residence permit (i.e. visas on other categories, not EEA). It is not possible to transfer a RC but there is no need. The A4 is a good as a stamp in the passport.zahirsona wrote:hi guys
the UKBA send me RC on A4 paper give me some information about my RC, if i sent my passport agian to liverpool for stamp on my passport some time they take 6 month or more it is possible to go by window A4 paper residence card stamped in passport what you think guys give me some information about this i read on UKBA website there is some fee like 661 pounds to stamped on your passport, any one know please share your experiences
If it were me, I would do all of the following:waki wrote:Hi All,anyone with opinion on what to when your eea2 has exceeded the 6months timeline. All opinion will be highly appreciated.
The language of that letter is not clear, to say the least. You are not the first one who gets confused by it. The HO tries to cover all cases and that is why they suggest to apply for EEA Family Permit even if one is not required.thefly wrote:Hey guys I really need your opinion here.
I am new to the forum but I have been following for quiet a while now. I am an Italian Citizen exercising Treaty Rights and my husband is American. We applied for his Residence Card in August and we are still waiting. 6 months are going to be up the 21st of February.
We requested our passports back and we traveled to Italy over Christmas. We received them on time to travel together with a letter saying that "the non EEA-family Member or a EEA national should apply for a EEA family permit before coming back to the UK". It didn't sound right because his Residence Card application was still processing at the time but we did apply eventually when we went to Italy. To cut a long story short, my husband is still stuck in Italy waiting for his new Family Permit almost 2 months after his application was posted and at the same time his Residence Card is still under consideration. We have contacted UKBA several times via email and phone. We have contacted the local MP and worldbridge. Nothing has been done. We are very scared and frustrated. We are dissipating our finances and discussing most of the time.
What do you suggest we should do?
If his Residence Card is not here on time will his Certificate of Application still be valid?
Thanks everyone for taking time to read my post and keep this forum updated
Best
Fingers crossed!!!Your item has reached the delivery office and is out for delivery.
We can confirm that your item left the delivery office this morning and should arrive shortly if it hasn’t been delivered already.
I would also refer to making a complaint to SOLVIT at your local country... (or if using EEA return to home country - the country in which you were working)flipper77 wrote:If it were me, I would do all of the following:waki wrote:Hi All,anyone with opinion on what to when your eea2 has exceeded the 6months timeline. All opinion will be highly appreciated.
1. Email the UKBA at LiverpoolEuro.PassportReturns@UKBA.gsi.gov.uk
2. Send a letter, by recorded/special delivery
3. Email the complaints address at UKBACustomerComplaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
4. Contact local MP: http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/
Just make sure your correspondence is very clear, include the timeline of your application, your Special Delivery Tracking Number, your Home Office Case ID etc.
Good Luck!
My husband's passport is with the British Consulate. I have called the European Enquire Center but they said that since we applied from Italy we should contact the British Consulate in Italy. We applied through World bridge because they closed the Italian hub and nowadays they send everything to London. We called and email World bridge several times. The only answer we got back is an automated reply that says his visa is still under consideration. It's been 2 months... for a Family Permit... it's unacceptable.Jambo wrote:

As yor husband is not a visa national, he would not require a EEA Family Permit. He should have returned with you and the CoA would have let him in the country. In addition, application for EEA FP should normally not take more than 3 weeks. Is the pasport still with the British consulate? You should complain to them. If they can't issue the FP in the next few days, he should withdraw the application and get on a plane back to the UK using his CoA.
His rights don't expire when the CoA expire so you should not worry about that too much. Does his need the CoA for any particular purpose?thefly wrote:One last thing. Let's say that his RC doesn't arrive on time, do you guys think his Certificate of Application will be valid until he has received his RC or will it expire 6 months after the date of his application?
A COA is valid as proof for elegibility for employment for 12 months... this is on the UKBA website... however, employers should know who can work and cannot work in the uk.dradilmahmood wrote:It will expire on the date that is mentioned on coa
12 months would be good. I also read in UKBA reply email somewhere that COA will be valid until a decision has been made.wiggsy wrote:A COA is valid as proof for elegibility for employment for 12 months... this is on the UKBA website... however, employers should know who can work and cannot work in the uk.dradilmahmood wrote:It will expire on the date that is mentioned on coa
I have tried to find the link, i saw it today (forget how i came across it, but i will keep trying )
I thought i PDF printed a copy to my documents for when/if wife has issues with employers.
also note: an employer can contact ukba for confirmation, ukba must reply within 20 days (a month without income lol)

I received a job offer recently. I gave the employer COA which will be expired on 4th of March according to six months rule. I'm so worried about being rejected by employer. I also gave them my husband's passport copy, our marriage certificate copy and his employment letter.
I'm checking mail box everyday. Is there anyone applying in sep 2012 still waiting?
Yeaph, that's true. As I said my husband applied for his RC on August 21st and we still don't have any news. Do you guys think I should write to the UKBA and remind them about the approaching deadline? How do you reach them? I have tried this email address: ukbaeuropeanenquires@ukba.gsi.gov.uk but every email bounces back undelivered.waki wrote:Guys!!september applicants must be patient as lots of august applicants are still for their RC.
