Tier 1- Maintenance Funds

Post by ranajagandeep » Fri Feb 08, 2013 1:25 pm

Hi Seniors

Sound bit silly !
The Maintenance funds for my dependants can be shown from my current bank account or savings account right.

Or else it can be shown from theirs ?

Regards,
J.

Fund Maintenance can be from any bank account and even from multiple accounts as long as clear 90 days maintained. Also, it can be from your wife's account as well.

If you are applying by post, you need to mention clearly in covering letter.

I think, the seniors or experienced can answer appropriately. I never came across this situation.

Yes, it can be as long as its from the registered financial institution recognised by the main financial authority in that country. I had an issue where I did not had sufficient money in my UK account so showed it from my Indian bank account. In my country the main financial authority is RBI and as the bank falls under it, my money was accepted.
