hey mate ..still nothing ..3 and hlf months ..7 weeks since i got my document back ..stress killing me slowly slowly ....it looks like goin have bad news ..evry 1 had it so fast ..just couple of us still waiting ..i really dont andrestand there how they work!!

No mate,I have completed 5 months.
I just cannot understand this at all.one of my friend applied 2 months after me and I personally guided him with each step of the application,and you know what happened!he got approval within 2 months and I m still waiting.lol

I will be relocating to the Netherlands next week and I am not holding any hopes of receiving withing the next week. When I applied, the NCS person said that my application is quite straight forward and it is what they call as a good application. I look at the post everyday and it makes me

Can anyone let me know when to apply for naturalization?

I came to UK on 20 Feb 2002

Completed 10 years in UK and applied for ILR on 20 Feb 2012

ILR received on 20 Aug 2012

ILR issue date 15 Aug 2012 and expiry date 20 Feb 2022

I understand that I need to complete 1 year before I apply for naturalization BUT I don' know that when will this 1 year gets complete!!

Would I apply for naturalization on 20 Feb 2013 or 20 Aug 2013 ?

Your year ends on 15 August 2013 , so you will have to apply after that date meaning from the 16th August 2013 .

I share others frustrations at UKBA's lack of response. Now, they don't even speak to you even if your application is more than 6 months old. They just have two different email addresses for less/more than 6 months.

I received the approval today, yay! They sent it to the wrong council. Instead of sending it to my local council, they sent it to the one I applied through.

I saw NCS poeple fill in ceremony sheet, and send with the application, and the caseworkers at nationality group just blindly follow that ..

Instead he/she should look into the application form, and then write down the council of choice

In all honesty I don't mind my certificate being sent to Barnet or up north, I don't even mind travelling to Belfast or Aberdeen as long as it arrives soon

My approval letter date is 5th Feb. It says to contact the Leeds Register Office. I applied through the Leeds council as my local council, York, didn't have the requested appointment dates. I didn't choose Leeds in my application and the person at NCS Leeds also mentioned that my ceremony will be at York. Expecting my citizenship certificate to be sent to York, I have been ringing the York council every week. At least this UKBA cockup is not as bad as sending some one's birth certificate to the wrong address http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=125734

Well the bottom line is that you had your approval before you move to the Netherlands which is fantastic. Did you speak to the folks at Leeds to check that they have your certificate.

I, few years ago when I was applying for an extension to my leave, received someone else's passport along with all their supporting documents. I also received my own documents a couple of weeks later so I know these things happen
