Tier 1 maintenace query- URGENT

Post by srihariv1 » Tue Feb 12, 2013 8:07 pm

Hi

I have my Tier1 General extension appointment tomorrow and i have got a slight problem, in showing my maintenance funds

I have two bank accounts one hsbc account which I'm showing for my salary transactions and I have up to date statements for the account

the other account is SBI UK account which I'm showing for maintenance funds

the problem is I have SBI statements till 7th of January 2013 and I asked for the latest statement till 5th feb 2013 which should have reached me by yesterday i.e 11 Feb 2013 but unfortunately have not reached :(

My question is can I show my maintenance fund till 7th jan from SBI UK and after 7th Jan till date from HSBC

Yes you would be fine. You can show multiple accounts to show maintenance fund.

on a side note if SBI uk can't deliver statements in five working day then change it man..SBI has to improve its services at par with UK banks..

SBI need to improve... i agree..

But don't think UK banks will deliver statements next day if you order them.. it may take 10 working days...

Dear All,

This is not a problem at all.I work in an Indian Bank here in UK.All the banks take at least 5-7 working days to deliver the statements.

For maintenance fund you can have to show the reqd funds for 3 months before your application BUT the statement cannot be 1 month old.So in case u are showing for eg the statement from 01-01-2013 to 31-03-2013 then u can use this stament upto 1 month after the issue date of statement. So if you request on 31.03.2013 you will get your statement by 07.4.2013!!!! and u can use this statement upto 30.04.2013!!!!

I just used this logic and got the approval.

Hope this helps

Regards

No. I don't agree with it. I ordered Barclays statement on this Monday (11th Feb) and got it at my home today on 13th Feb. That's precisely two working days.

I don't want to go into debate of indian bank or UK bank. But SBI or other indian PSU banks who have branch in UK need to improve.
