Guys, check the Tier 1 processing times at official UKBA web-ste. Its spossible your application reaches its Q and will be considered sometines next month (gien no delays to consider your case). Contacting UKBA usually even after 6 monhs deem to be uselss, they just say its under consideraionmb13 wrote:Just to let you know: I am in the same position. Submitted app on 15 Sept 12; biometrics enrolled on 12 Oct 2012. It's been 4.5 months since initial application. Do we really have to wait 6 months before contacting UKBA as per their website?mayprivate wrote:We haven't heard any news since we did the Biometric enrollment. We have already waited for the documents return more than 3.5months. I am afraid we need to wait for another 2.5 months sothe total extension process possibly needs half year or even more. I feel very frustrated.
Just curious, it took 3 weeks for your application to reach HO? and how could the payment be debited before the application reached the HO?paone wrote:Post subject:

If you cant afford the PEO appointment/appointment via solicitor, just do a postal application, BUT the danger is if you need to travel somewhere - you simply cant. doing postal with solicitor, unless your case is complicated, is a waste of money IMHO. Just make sure you fill the form correctly and send banker's draft/postal drafts to make sure your applocation wont get stalled at the initial process and returned as invalid.nasir639 wrote:Hi Guys,
I am due to apply soon for Tier 1 general extension. I was wondering which option is the better. A lot of people commented about delay in postal service etc. So was tempted to go for same day service but the home office fee is too much and double the solicitor fee on top of that.
So, what would you do if you were me and would you fill the application yourself or hire a solicitor..
If I were you, I would do the same day service, and fill the Forms myself. As Mela mentioned, the processing time seems to be getting better, but I would have gladly paid multiple times the difference for same day service instead of waiting for 5 months for a decision. I assure you, apart from the fact that you are stuck in the country, the waiting time is excruciatingly difficult.nasir639 wrote:Hi Guys,
