work permit dependent to HSMP status

I am currently in UK as a work permit dependant. Since, I am a dependant to a work permit holder, I am thinking that I should be doing the following. Could you please confirm this to me.

I should file a HSMP form to you and pay 315 pounds.

After that, Since I can’t do a in country transfer to HSMP, I need to go back to my parent country and file for a HSMP visa separately.

Is this correct?

Absolutely correct !

1. Apply for HSMP from within UK.
2. Upon approval, visit your home country to apply for Entry Clearance on basis of HSMP approval.
