Spouse got EC, Registration with Police....

Post by Ajay Kumar Singh » Wed Aug 25, 2004 10:05 am

Humble servents of God Saved Queen finally gave EC to my spouse.

VISA Type: VISA TO JOIN SPOUSE
Observ.: No Recourse to public fund
Register with the police within 7 days of arrival in the UK

Is this comman for dependents of HSMP VISA to register with police??
If not then what could be the reason for this ?

And how about registration with the police ? Registration can be done with any police station or with some special police station ?
And is this one time registration ?

Ajay,

Commonwealth citizens (such as Indians) do not have to register with the Police - however if your spouse does not hold an Indian ppt then she has to register with the Police...

...BTW, I thought your wife was Ukranian 8)

remember that time when you exposed your entire family and lifestyle to the whole world

Thanx Chess.
Yes she is Ukrainian.
Oh! yeh! I remember "The Exposure" but i didn't know someone is spying ;)

I didn't know that we also have some privilege over other nationals :)

What about registration process ? Can it be done at any police station or to some spcific police station only ? And what's the procedure.

I am afraid the previlidges for commonwealth citizens are not that many..The emperialists/colonialist (Brits) did get a lot of help and wealth from the former colonies - but now they have abandoned us. They arte more aligned with the EU!

so being a commonwealth citizen does not hold alot of water (except that you can vote!)

Straight forward process (but I think it costs a little bit of money) - worry about this when you set foot on Her Majesty's land
