Tier 2 Extension

Post by Shaylin » Sat Feb 16, 2013 3:02 pm

Hello,

My Tier 2 General expires soon and I'm in the process of completing my application. There were few things I wasn't sure about so I made enquires with few immigration lawyers.....BIG MISTAKE.....It's shocking how the advice varies from lawyer to lawyer. Now, I'm more confused than I was before calling them hence this post.

My Background:

- Currently on a Tier 2 General which expires 11th March.
- Initial application filed in 2010 and granted in Feb 2010 for 3 years.
- I'm working for the same company and salary has increased over the 3 years.
- No dependants on application.
- Company is an A-rated sponsor.
- CoS will be issued on Monday and plan to submit my application by Thursday(21st).

Questions

1. Which form do I use for the Tier 2 General extension(link will be helpful)
2. Do I need to prove that I need to speak English?
3. Do I need to do complete the Points Based System when applying?
4. What supporting documents should I provide?
5. How long is the postal processing time?

These are the questions I asked the lawyers, and I got conflicting answer and now I need clarification on.

This forum is GREAT because the information provide is first hand and is not motivated by money.

Any help/feedback will be greatly appreciated. I'd love to hear your experiences as this will me and other followers of this forum.

Thank You!

If money is not an issue for you, would recommend going for a PEO appointment just saves you time and the harassment in contrast to applying via post
