Jaygee, I obtained entry clearance in Pretoria this morning. It took less than 3 hours. I took along all the documents mentioned above and was not interviewed.

Sorry I didn't answered your question, just been busy etc. I got mine on 13 April, day before the elections.

Anyway, Congrats on the EC, are you flying out tonight ?

when I booked my tickets I decided to leave 2 days for entry clearance -just in case!
so leaving in a few hours now! so so excited!!!

I obtained my EC - now I am excited - booked flight - arriving in UK on 9 Oct 2004.

EC quite simple - I arrived at 06:55 at Visa section. There was already a short q. The doors opened at 07:30 - got a seat and checked my doc's;

a) Approved HSMP Letter
b) Passport
c) 2 x Photos
d) Completed VAF1 form
e) R 938.00
f) Letter from my provident fund indicating my withdrawal benefit - had no spare cash!

I was helped at 07:50 - paid the dues and asked to wait - at just before 09:00 I was called and the nice lady said congrats - EXCELLENT - no interview no nothing
