Self Employed query

I am a contractor and trade through a Limited Company. My company was registered years ago but I only started withdrawing salary from July last year. The turn over was minimal (around £300/year) before I actively using it.

My Tax year is Feb/2012 to Feb/2013 and I was in full time employment with another company from feb 2012 to July/2012. I now want to know that do I need to provide payslips from that employment even though I am not including income from that employment?

Secondly, do I need to explain that in my cover letter?
