Spouse name in passport (while applying HSMP)

Post by Reshma » Thu Mar 08, 2007 3:38 pm

Hello,
I am planning to apply for HSMP in another 2 weeks time.
My spouse name is not added in my passport.
But I have valid Marriage certificate from Government.
Is it any way important to add your spouse name in passport while applying for HSMP?
Will it affect their decision in any way?

Thanks in advance
Reshma.

Why do you need to furnish passport details when applying for HSMP ?? For age ??

Anyways, it doesn't matter if your passport doesn't have your spouse's name !!

For age, I am submitting my Driving license.

I read somewhere that I have to submit the notarized copies of my spouse passport as well as my passport. Need to confirm this.

Thanks for the reply.

Wrong information. You DO NOT need to submit notarized copy of your spouse's passport for any reason whatsoever during the HSMP application (you as the HSMP applicant).

yes 'ukjobsforme' is right...there is no need to give ur spouse's passport and there is absolutely no such requirement that your spouse should be added on ur visa...I have done the same thing and so I know...marraige certificate is well enough proof of marriage....
