melbgirl - Reg

Post by Damanisshallo » Fri Feb 22, 2013 10:40 am

Whom so ever this may concern

I can see that there are two records for username "melbgirl" on the Skydrive with bleak discrepancies in their dates also this member doesn't seem to be on this forum and may be is represented by someone from elsewhere. Could you please confirm if both these ID's belong to the same person.

Many Thanks

Wife's FLR(M) timeline

Post by smshad » Sat Feb 23, 2013 4:57 pm

Hi,

Someone of you may know me from ILR 10 years category, I applied ILR on the basis of long residence in August 2012 and my case is still pending.

I have now applied for my wife’s visa on FLR (M), please see her timeline below. I have updated the FLR (M) spreadsheet as well.

Application posted: 09th February, 2013
Acknowledgment letter received: 13th February, 2013
Biometric invitation letter received: 18th February, 2013
Biometric enrolled at post office on: 23rd February, 2013

Take care
Shad.

Wow, looks like they've finally gotten the biometrics letters back into proper timeline. It used to take 2-4 weeks, but I waited 9 and at the peak there were people regularly waiting something like 14-16 weeks for a bio letter. Hopefully that means the backlog is very nearly under control.

Call and ask the Immigration Enquiry Bureau about it. You may be able to prompt them into sending it.

Post by longwaytogo » Sun Feb 24, 2013 4:57 pm

hi congratulation for everyone who has a good news :D

I am not so lucky, cause waiting almost for 3 years
I've been refused my visa in tier 4 in november 2009
-23.03.2010 documents for FLR(M) and COA been accepted by UKBA
-31.03.2010 Biometric done
-12.05.2010 I been granted for Certificate of Approval for marriage
-20.06.2010 Marriage Certificate been sent to UKBA
-25.09.2010 my husband passport been sent back from UKBA
-16.08.2011 we had a letter:" UKBA are currently experiencing delays inprocessing due to high volume of request"
after that is all gone quite
We rung to UKBA 08706067766 last week and the answer was that they sent a letter 16.08 2011 yes but now is 2013 so that's just been a joke , we e mail to our MP 2 weeks ago , still waiting for updates
Any suggestion pls, i cant work for 3 years now, we cant go anywhere, my son has to go to college , he is last year at school now, we just stuck

Sorry, but I think with a case like that the only answer you'll find here is that you should get a solicitor. That is well beyond the capabilities of an internet forum made up of fellow applicants and I highly doubt anyone here is qualified to help you.

Involving your local MP might escalate your case. However, meeting them in person might add some fuel to the smoke.

Good luck.

Hi all

Sorry it's been a while since I last posted - we went away for a short break (in the UK, alas...)

Nope, still haven't recieved the docs. I'm REALLY angry because the last thing we heard from the UKBA was that a decision had been made on 6 Feb and the docs would be posted shortly. The UKBA have now backtracked and are telling us that although a decision has been made 'in principle' it has yet to be approved and put through the system etc. We were so full of hope when we came back from our holiday but when we got to our post box and it was empty it was such a crushing disappointment. Obviously UKBA are up to their old tricks and fobbing us off with false/vague information.

It's been exactly 6 months today though so hopefully won't be much longer.
Application recieved: 24 August 2012
Acknowledgement letter: 29 August
BM letter dated: 18 November 2012 (arrived 21 November 2012)
BM given: 22 November 2012
Documents and BRP received: 7 March 2013
