More than one Tier 1 extension

Post by SHAH2B » Wed Feb 27, 2013 4:03 pm

Hello, I got my Tier 1 in Nov 2008 for 3 years, and then got my first extension in Nov 2011 for 2 years. Due to personal reasons I was absent for more than a year in 2010, which resulted in breaking of continuous residence.

I wanted to extend my Tier 1 this year for the second time. I wanted to know whether my extension will be for 3 years or 2 years?

Thanks,
Bhavesh

Bit unfair, but 2 years. See below (Copied from tier 1 guidance )

Periods of grant:
Leave to Remain (Extension) where previous
grant of leave was as a Tier 1 (General)
Migrant under the Rules in place before the 06
April 2010
For a period of 2 years
Leave to Remain in all other cases For a period of 3 years
