Hello Abhishekbodyguard wrote:Are u aware that u cannot apply for oci for kids alone?
At least either one of the parents must be eligible to apply for OCI if you wish to apply for the minor kid's OCI. If both parents are holding valid Indian passport and only got ILR stamps on them then you cannot apply for the kid's OCI.manyaonisland wrote:Hello Abhishekbodyguard wrote:Are u aware that u cannot apply for oci for kids alone?
are you telling or asking? if you are telling then why is this? do you know the reason?
I take it that you are saying that once you have come back from India on the tourist visa you cannot go back on the same visa within 2 months? correct?bodyguard wrote:u cannot enter india within a gap of 2 months?
Yes, that's right. The website ( hci London) say that its not allowed, but if u do need to go again within 2 months, then u need to contact hci London and get permission.manyaonisland wrote:I take it that you are saying that once you have come back from India on the tourist visa you cannot go back on the same visa within 2 months? correct?bodyguard wrote:u cannot enter india within a gap of 2 months?
I know this post is old . but if we take a long term(5yr) visa for a minor child whose parents have ILR/bc are not restricted as tourist visa. They can stay as many days they want and they travel as many times as they want.bodyguard wrote:Yes, that's right. that is for tourist visa not for 5 year visa as this is not a tourist visa coz it is given to people of Indian Orgin only hence there was no restriction on it before as well.bodyguard wrote:See http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/news.html
Re-entry into India within the 2 month restriction for tourist visas
This is for information that restriction of TWO months gap between two visits has been removed by the Government of India from 4th Dec 2012.
So, it looks like even for normal 6 months tourist visa, this restriction is not there anymore.
