Biometrics done on 29 th jan 2013
I agree. In fact there is a delay of 5-6 weeks. In my case:chandansep wrote:we are observing delay of 2 weeks in UKBA process. On month of Feb people received their biometric invitation 2 week later than ideal time frame. I meant it took 4 weeks instead of 2 weeks.
So same kind of delay can be seen on passport and BRP receiving time. Very good changes that you will received your document on 5th to 6th week from the day you had done biometric.
If they are sending the BRP through signed for delivery they can help with the reference number. You can drop them an email. This is really too much...rizzu155 wrote:This is ridiculous, I am just losing my patience now .. can't wait anymore.
Can I make a complaint in UKBA ? because people who pick the phone are not helpful and they don't say or share any details except saying you have to wait some more days.
It's two weeks now and still there is no news for BRP though I have received passport and approval letter. I am going mad, already re-scheduled my tickets twice and paid huge amount as a penalty charges
They don't respond to my e-mail either.. I'm really fed up with UKBAglobalindian wrote:If they are sending the BRP through signed for delivery they can help with the reference number. Congratulations... this means they are picking application randomlydiv123 wrote:hey all!! I received my BRP and passport and docs and approval letter yesterday! BRP was dated 26/02/13 which i received yesterday. While sending my docs, i had enclosed an empty envelope with special delivery stamps on it, for getting back my docs, so they must have dispatched my passport on 28/02/13, and through special delivery i got it yesterday. Since i was not at home, they had dropped the BRP card which comes in a small envelope in the letter box, but the passport envelope was very big cos my degree certi is also big, so they had dropped a missed delivery card of royal mail, so collected it today morning. The letter of approval was with the passport. So finally m so relieved!!!
This forum has been extremely helpful for keeping my cool
PS: My biometric date was 26/01/13. So it took 5 weeks for me to get my BRP/passport.

This is very stressful (I'm at risk of missing my sister's wedding in a couple of weeks) but have found this forum to be very helpful. They are processing visas though and they will all come. Good luck!

I am at a bigger risk as if it delay by one more week then I 'm going to miss my marriage
Travel without BRP is not safe and not recommended that's what Home Office said to me. Even approval letter also refers same things, and hence seems waiting for infinity.Bhags wrote:Just wonderingrizzu155 wrote:afrazier wrote:I think there are probably many factors in why some applications are processed faster than others (i.e. whether or not there are dependents, switching or extending, salaries, etc.). As you already got the passport and approval letter, can't you go ahead with your plan and authorize some one to receive your BRP who can then courier to you at your home?
