Registration for Children Born Outside UK

Post by kamshah » Fri Mar 01, 2013 10:31 pm

I have been given ILR last month along with my wife and two kids, both under 6 years of age .

I have heard an immigration solicitor on TV advising that the children born overseas can register as British Citizens if they have ILR and have been in the country for over 3 years.

Is this correct; please reply

This is true if one parent was already British by decent at the time of the children birth.

From your description, it's not your case.
