Tier 2 Dependant Visa

Post by kEN_t2 » Sun Mar 03, 2013 8:39 pm

Hi, I am getting married this year in Nov, and want to bring my partner in Dec time. Also my current visa (T2 General) is expiring on Jan 28th and I am eligible to apply for ILR. If she applies for dependant visa in Dec, whether she will be able to get the dependant visa, or is it advisable to get her dependant visa once my ILR is sorted in Jan next year. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks

depending on which country you are from and how quick they process spouse visa.
I will say, get the dependent visa, come to uk and apply for extension here.. if you apply for ILR then she will not be able to apply for dependent visa anymore and rather will be applying for spouse visa, which is a long, painful process requiring a lot more docs..
